Shirley Claudia Johnson, of Turlock, has entered Eternity in Heaven with Jesus her Savior. She passed away July 27, 2021 at the age of 94.
Shirley was born in New London, CT in 1926. At the age of 16, she, her parents and grandmother moved to Turlock. During Word War II, she worked for a local munitions manufacturer to help the war effort. After the war, she married Melvin Leo Johnson and raised three boys. She worked for 32 years as a food service supervisor at Elness Convalescent Hospital
Shirley is survived by a son, Melvin Junior, 5 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchidren.
A memorial service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1:00pm.

August 8, 2021 at 3:56 pmShirley will be missed as a wonderful neighbor and friend of my father and family. She was always there to offer food or trinkets. She would crochet such beautiful Afghans then give them to her friends. Rest In Peace lovely lady.
