Susan Jane Lewis-Rojas

May 1959 ~ November 2020

Susan Lewis-Rojas, 61 of Turlock, passed away unexpectedly. She was born in 1959 in Vallejo, CA to Alfred Joseph and Carol Engley Lewis.

In 1965 her family moved to Los Banos, CA, where she grew up and attended both elementary and high school, forging many lifelong friends. In 1994 she met her future husband, Tony Rojas, and on August 18, 1995 they were married in South Lake Tahoe.

Throughout her life Susan was dedicated to her husband and children, always doing the best she could to provide, care for, and love them. Her grandchildren were her passion; the light of her life. She looked forward to visiting and playing with them, and attending the sporting events they were involved in.

Susan always tried to help those in need, going out of her way to house and contribute monies to those in a bind. There was never a question in her mind. She knew she had to do it.

Susan was a strong woman of faith as a mother, grandmother, and wife, rarely meeting anyone she would call a stranger. She had a tremendous love of people and was truly an angel to all who knew her.

She leaves behind her husband of twenty five years, Tony Rojas; her mother Carol Engley Lewis; her sons Steven John Carston and Shane James Carston; grandchildren John Anthony and Augustus Carston of Ozark, Missouri, and Toby Silva and Jericko Silva-Carston of Newman, CA; brothers Ross Kersthold and Mark Lewis, and sister Linda (Tom) King.

Susan had a an infectious smile that drew people close to her. She had a heart of gold, love for everyone and spoke her truth. I will miss her kind heart, delightful personality and great hugs. I used to stop by Safeway where she worked to say hello and give her a hug. Stopped by last week and missed seeing her smiling face. Susan was one of a kind. I love you Susan, missing you sweetie. Rest in peace dear.
    With love Beverlee Craig
