Sussane Marie Mode (née Jensen) lost her battle with cancer on April 8th, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband, Chris Mode, and her cherished children, Les Noa Jr. (wife, Sarah) and Kisa Burch (husband, Casey). She is also survived by her father Walter Jensen, her in-laws Kelly and Dean Mode, mother-in-law Colleen Mode, and her dear dogs Bandit, Reno, and grandpups Molly and Yogi. She was born in the Philippines on September 29th, 1972 and lived a vibrant, full 52 years with her family and wide array of friends she gathered along the way.
Our beloved Susie was first diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in 2021 and she underwent many rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and a double mastectomy. She was declared cancer-free on June 9th, 2023, just a few weeks before Kisa’s wedding. Unfortunately, in the spring of 2024, the cancer returned in her bones and metastasized to Stage 4. Despite her courageous fight through more chemotherapy, it spread rapidly.
She was incredibly proud of her two children, who she raised with her former husband, Les Noa Sr. The entire Noa family loved her as their own, and she was always grateful for their continued presence in her life. In 2009, she married her best friend and travel buddy, Chris. They spent many wonderful years seeing the world together and cherishing their many friendships.
Join us to celebrate Sussane’s life at a service on Saturday, May 3rd, at 10:00 A.M. at Allen Mortuary, 247 N Broadway, Turlock, CA. A reception will follow at Carnegie Arts Center. Please embrace her “Susie Sunshine” spirit with bright attire—aloha shirts, sundresses, and flip-flops encouraged! (please no dark clothing!)
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sussane’s memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation: https://www.komen.org/how-to-help/donate/
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will forever remain.

April 18, 2025 at 3:40 pmSussane is one of the most courageous and strongest people I have ever known. I believed of anyone could ever win this fight, it was her. Her kindness and willingness to help everyone and her love for those close to her radiated from her every second. I miss her dearly, but I know I’m better for having known her. My condolences to all of her loved ones.
