In loving memory of Sybil Carrolyn Rohrer (Wallen) a wonderful, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She passed away on Feb. 28, 2022 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center at the age of 81.
Sybil was born in Sulphur, OK on February 4, 1941. Her family moved to Turlock, Ca where she resided and attended Mitchell Community School and Turlock High School.
She met her husband-to-be in the 1st grade and was friends with him throughout her school years. They began dating while he was on leave from the US Navy stationed in Long Beach, CA. She married her loving husband on January 8, 1960 in Reno, NV and they just celebrated their 62nd anniversary on January 8th.
She worked at Crane School, Tri Valley Growers and was a Daycare Provider until they purchased her parents Turkey Ranch in 1973. Together with her husband they raised turkeys on the ranch they named Rohrer’s Turkey Ranch for over 20 years. They retired and moved to New Mexico in 2004. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roswell, NM and she supported the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
Sybil is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph Nickalaus Rohrer of Roswell, NM; son Scott Gilbert Rohrer of Hilmar, daughter Susan Kay Maser and son in law Michael E. Maser of Denair; 4 grandchildren Marci K. Couch, April C. Mailloux, Rochelle L. Violette, and Tiffany N. James; 5 great grandchildren Kaylee Slinker, Faith Mailloux, Dakota Couch, Brooklyn Mailloux, and Zachery Couch. She is preceded in death by her parents Carroll and Pauline Wallen, sister Mary Hanreich, and brothers Billy Wallen and Jerry Wallen.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, CA 95380.
Private family services to follow on a later date at Turlock Memorial Park.
