Theodora Frances (Moura) Koll, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, just shy of her 91st birthday.
Born in Pleasanton, California, and raised in Fremont, Theodora graduated from Washington High School in the Class of 1952. She married her beloved husband, Leonard, in 1980, and the two shared many joyful years together. After a dedicated 30-year career at Hewlett-Packard, Theodora retired and settled in Modesto, where she enjoyed the last two decades of her life.
An active member of her community, Theodora was a part of the Good Sam RV Club and a faithful attendee of Holy Family Catholic Church in Modesto. She had a love for the outdoors, often spending her free time camping and enjoying nature. She also found joy in watching golf, a pastime that brought her relaxation.
Theodora is survived by her four children, Sharon Luiz, Kathy Evans, Tony Luiz, and Mike Luiz, as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, guidance, and strength. She is preceded in death by her four sisters and three brothers, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
A service to honor and celebrate Theodora’s life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California.
Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice in her memory. Theodora’s kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
