Tirso Martinez Gaytan
January 28, 1957 ~ September 28, 2023
Tirso Martinez Gaytan of Denair, California has passed away at the age of 66. Tirso was born in Mexico
to Felix and Celedonia Martinez. He graduated from high school in Tecoman, Colima Mexico and
migrated to the US at the age of 25 yrs old. He worked in the almond orchard industry for over 30 yrs
and became a foreman of his company. He married Maria Concepcion Farias and together they raised
their 5 daughters.
Tirso was a loving, caring, selfless, shoulder to cry on, a light in every room, goofy, friendly, and the
greatest husband, girl dad, and grandpa. Alongside his wife, he raised five strong women who in turn
raised even stronger grandchildren who lived by his morals and his big loving heart. He was a family man
but an even greater community figure. He was well respected among his agricultural workers who saw
him as a father figure and a great friend. At his church, he always attended every event or participated
in all that he could because he was a man who lived alongside God. His friends at church could attest to
all he has devoted to his community and family.
Tirso is survived by his wife Maria Martinez; his daughters Alejandra, Alma, Martha, Noemi, & Araseli;
his grandkids Joceline, Selena, Ivonne, Arlene, Anthony, Eddie, Aaliyah, Berenice, Neftali, Joshua, Noah,
Mia, & Luca; his great grandkids Jasiel, Malaya, & Julian; and his siblings Melchor & Adelina.
