Tyrone “Ty” Raymond Kneller Jr., age 61, passed away on July 4,2024. Born on February 6, 1963, to Tyrone Raymond Kneller Sr. and Carol Lynn Kneller, in South Dakota, Ty moved to California during his childhood. He graduated from Riverbank High School in 1981 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering at Sacramento State University.
For the past 32 years, Ty dedicated his career to PG&E, where he worked tirelessly and rose to the position of Senior Manager of Distribution Standards and Work Methods. His colleagues knew him as a committed professional who poured his heart and soul into his work.
Ty had a zest for life and loved to host gatherings. He welcomed everyone with a shot of tequila or his signature “Tyrone Special,” a twist on the classic Paloma. An avid cornhole player, Ty never turned down a game and was always eager to try new things.
He looked forward to retiring within the next year and fulfilling his dream of living in Mexico, a place where he found true happiness during his frequent visits to his timeshare.
Ty’s kindness and willingness to help others defined his character. He never judged anyone and was always ready to lend a helping hand and a listening ear.
He is survived by his many lifelong friends, his beloved daughters Danielle and Lea, and his soon-to-arrive granddaughter, Sage Miranda. Ty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A celebration of Ty’s life will be held on July 27, 2024, at 10 am at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, CA and followed by a reception in Modesto, CA.
A Closed-Casket Visitation will be held the previous evening Friday, July 26, 2024, from 5-7pm.
