William Charles “Bill” Hohl April 26, 1940 - December 18, 2023

Bill was born in San Francisco in April of 1940, was raised in Vallejo, Ca.

Bill met his wife in September of 1961 in San Leandro, CA and they were married four months later in 1962. Bill worked for the Oakland Public Schools and Laney Jr. College as a custodian in the 60s. In the 70s he became self-employed providing janitorial services and hauling newspapers for the Livermore Independent Newspaper. In 1980 he opened up his Video Store Pleasanton Video in Pleasanton, CA, that became very successful. In 1997 Bill and his wife moved to Patterson to retire. Bill loved his Oakland A’s baseball and never missed a game. He enjoyed calling bingo games and also enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Marie Hohl, as well as a brother, Ralph Hohl.

Bill is survived by his wife Sharon Hohl of Modesto Ca., children David (Cindy) Hohl of Merced Ca., John (Amy) Hohl of Camino, Ca., and Janet McMahon of Henderson, Nv., and sister Mary Hohl of Citrus Heights, Ca. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held for Bill at 1:30pm on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock. A reception will be held immediately following at The Carnegie Arts Center, 250 N. Broadway in Turlock.
