Sept. 1941 – Mar. 2019
Wilma Garcia, a beautiful woman and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother is now in the arms of the Lord. Born in Texas in the fall of 1941 to Guillermo and Micaela Castro, Wilma married Patrick Garcia Sept. 30, 1959. This September they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Wilma was a happy person, always dancing and smiling. She was a selfless person who loved to be around family and she also liked to shop!
A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilma was at the church almost every morning. Her title was “extraordinary minister” and she would distribute Holy Communion to sick people at home or in the hospital. She would also be called to help when an ordained minister was absent or impeded.
Wilma is survived by her husband and a myriad of children, grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was loved and adored and she will be deeply, deeply missed.
A Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4-6 pm with a Rosary following at 6 p.m. at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following at Turlock Memorial Park.
